Michael, I have ancestors who lived in Berks and Northampton as well as Chester and Montgomery counties in PA. The name is spelled various ways, mine was LeFever most often. Some of my relatives in KY, IN and OK spell it Lafaver. Our ancestor Johannes died in 1779 in Berks County. my line moved from PA to VA to KY, then some to TN, others on west to IN, MO, etc. My paternl line from Johannes is, Abraham (b. about 1724-28), Abraham (about 1745-50), Andrew (1774)

I'd be glad to compare notes, if you wish.
