Saline Co. IL coroner report:
In the matter of the inquisition on the body of Logan Leavell deceased, held at Harrisburg, Ill., on the 19th day of June 1917. We, the undersigned, Jurors, sworn to inquire into the death of Logan Leavell on oath do find that he came to his death by a gun shot wound in the hands of Ben Grimes acting in self defence and we recommend that he be released. H. E.Hubbard, foreman, C. A. Sloan, J. R. Martin, N. L. Kirkham, A. S. Mott, Harry B. Barter.
