Dear Sheila,
I am writing from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and have just started looking for information on my family tree. My father, Leslie Albert Lechmere was born in London in 1916 and he lived there with his mother, Gertrude Lechmere, until he was about 10 years old. At this time he travelled with his mother to Queensland, Australia probably looking for a better life. I would be really grateful for any information you have on Gertrude Lechmere or her relatives who
were living or are still living in England. Dad doesn't remember a lot and his father apparently wasn't on the scene. I think my dad's father's surname was Langdon.
