Well if anyone had this information I sure wish they would have posted it somewhere for me to find it earlier. lol. I just found my grgrgrgrandfather, Absalom Ledford, in the 1860 census of McNairy county Tenn. District 2, and also in the 1870 census of adjoining Hardeman county Tenn. District 12. He was a widower residing in the house of his son, William Ledford. I am searching online cemetery surveys in hopes he is buried in the area. Our library in Chattanooga may have more complete cemetery surveys for this area in book form and I will check those also. Of course, I am hoping they gave old grandpa a headstone. Ira Prince
