Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

The head of the LeDuc family association that has the website is Leon LeDuc. I don't know if you can email him from school, but his address is leonleduc@aol.com. If you have an email address I'm sure he could send a good copy of the coat of arms.

There's writing above and below the crest that I can't make out on the family website. If you want to know what it says, you'll probably want to contact Leon anyway.

Keep in mind, this crest is for the Canadian LeDucs. Where the name "LeDuc" denotes nobility, I'm sure the original French LeDucs also had a crest; but I haven't been able to find it. If you can locate it, let me know.

Good luck.
