I've ran into a challenging situation that I need everyone to help me with. I've been in contact with Leger's in Canada and quite a few show Michel Leger's father as Jean Leger dit Richelieu married to Marguerite Marchand. This Jean Leger was a son of Francois Leger married to Anne Guingende. This information is different than what most documentation shows - Michel Leger son of Jean Leger who was married to Marguerite Commeau; and he was son of Jacques Leger married to Madeleine Trahan. Has anyone come across documented proof as to who Michel's parents are? One researcher has Michel's father Jean married twice; first to Marguerite Marchand and second to Marguerite Commeau. Please I need to find the answer to this. Majority of the decendants of Leger's in Louisiana are from Michel Leger's line. Need to know his ancestors.
