I found that my ggggrandmother was from in Massena, NY about 20 miles from Ogdensburg, her name was Julian Legro/Legrow. She married Franklin Martin and they had about 10 children. I have not been able to find out who her parents were or where they came from. She and some of her relatives, I believe, moved to Canton, NY, only a short distance from Ogdensburg and Massena. One of the relatives was Levi Legro who fought in the Civil War. Julian and Franklin moved to a farm a short distance from Canton in a town called Clare. Their oldest daughter Catherine b. 1835 in Massena, NY married my gggrandfather, John Bushaw. Any help is appreciated. Gary
