I am searching for more information my great aunt, Ellen Therien and her husband, John LaPage, and their descendants. They had two children, John LaPage and Josephine LaPage Shallow.
Ellen Therien was born 26 Sep 1860 in Chateauguay, Quebec, died 22 May 1940 in Oconto, WI. Her parents were Joseph Therien (Therrien) and Josephe Curotte.
Ellen’s first marriage was to John LaPage, born 1854 in Quebec. According to the 1880 Census, he was a hotel keeper in Marinette, WI. Their first child, Josephine (Florever) was born in April 1880. Their second, John LaPage, was born in April 1885, and married Katherine__?__, they divorced. I would like to know if there were children. John LaPage died in New York City of a heart attack before 1940.
Josephine LaPage married William E. Shallow (Chaloux). They lived in Wisconsin, then Pulaski County, Arkansas, then Memphis, Tennessee. Their children and birth date information below is taken from the Census of 1920. William’s parents, Oliver and Lucy Shallow, lived with them.
