I did not know anything when I started either. Dad did not either. Marvin Reed who provided information that assisted me.

I would like to know where the family was before North Carolina also. I did get my brother to send a DNA kit to the ftDNA project. Since the Levys seemed to be married to possible Scots (McNutt, Burns, Sanders) I used the McLea group. However the first 12 markers do not match any scots in the current database. And do not have marker common among those with Norse ancestors. The markers are closer to Austria/Hungry DNA groups. I am waiting for the results of the next 12 markers.
