Joseph & Amy L'hommedieu-Chenango Co., NY

I am a Story Co., Iowa researcher trying to find the children of Joseph and Amy L'hommedieu of Chenango County, New York. Two of their sons, Charles and Henry Reed L'hommedieu, settled here. I have located a sister of theirs, Abigail L'hommedieu, who married Benjamin Allen and lived in Sycamore Twp., DeKalb County, Illinois along with her brothers.

Are there any other siblings out there? Could Reed be Amy's maiden name? I have been unable to locate Joseph and Amy. However there is a Joseph L'hommedieu (indexed under the H's as Hommedieu) in Suffolk County, NY 1820 census that I suspect is "my" Joseph.

Willing to share. Any help appreciated.
