He is the son of Joseph & Nancy Hicks Lindley who settled in Limestone Co. TX. where most of his bros. & sisters stayed.
A book has been done on some of this family. Joseph & Nancy were buried in the Lindley Cem. in Limestone Co. but some of their descendants had them moved to the State Cem. in Austin.
I am from Limestone Co. TX & my line came to TX about the same time as Joseph.
My line Samuel Washington Lindley was a bro. to Joseph's Father Simon Lindley they lived in IL. before coming to Texas. Simon Lindley stayed in IL.
