I am a decendant of Calvin Linton 1834 Alabama, father of Telitha Ann Linton. I found her marriage record to Jesse Long on the opposite page to her brother Henry's marriage record to Jerusha Beene. They had the same witnesses.
The thing that I can't figure out is who is Calvin S. Linton and who is his father? I have not found a middle initial associated with my Calvin. Henry and Rebecca Linton's son, Calvin died in the Civil War and my records show that his wife Susan Aikin Linton sold her property after the war to her brother-in-law William Linton. In the 1900 census it says that Susan (now living with her widowed daughter in law, Jerusha Beene Linton) had 3 children and only 1 was alive by then, Telitha. Henry died in 1888, and I have not found their third child. I would love to hear from other cousins.
