This is the Demsey (Dempsey) Linton family. They are in the 1830 Wayne Co, IN census, 1840 and 1850 census of Randolph County, IN.

I haven't determined the origin of the family. There are references to a Dempsey Linton in the Pasquotank area of NC but I have not been able to link the two.
