ILLNESS IS FATAL TO DR. LINVILLE - Lexington Physician Succumbs at U. S. Veteran's Hospital Following Two Months' Illness - WAS NATIVE OF NICHOLAS Dr. Solomon M. Linville, 55 years old, Lexington physician, died at the U. S. Veterans' hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock following an illness of two months. Dr. LInville was born in Nicholas county, a son of George M. and Mary Aspaugh Linville. He was graduated from Transylvania College, where he played football in 1901 and 1902. From the close of the war until two years ago, Dr. Linville was employed by the federal government to examine soldiers for disability pensions. He was forced to discontinue this work due to illness. Dr. Linville was a member of Mt. Eden Christian church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Conley Linville; two daughters, Misses Ruth and Mary Evelyn Linville; one son, Augustus Linville, all of Lexington; one sister, Mrs Fannie Wagner, Carlisle, and four brothers, William, Jacob, Russell and Richard Linville, all of Carlisle. The body was removed to the residence at 414 East High Street. Complete funeral arrangements will be announced later. *******Source: Solomon M.
