Hello William, Yes, I believe that we've been in contact before. Sarah married a Charles Littlejohn b. 1799 d.1830. They had a daughter they named Nancy Cushing Littlejohn, they also may have had a son also named Charles. I believe that there is a connection also to the Casco Bay Cushing family. But can find no documentation to prove the theory. All that I go on was the obituary of Nancy's son, John Albert Loring. The obituary was written after his passing by a member of the Knights of Pythias, John was the Grand Keeper of Records and Seal for many years, the obituary states: " His father was born n St.Malo,France and bore the name of Antoine Jean Mari Laurent. Coming to this country in early youth he assumed the plain english name of John Loring. He married Nancy C. Littlejohn, a descendant of one of the early settlers of Casco Bay. These parents now, in honored old age, suffer the misfortune which the ancients accounted a curse, to survive their son." Sadly I can find no documentation other than this to prove Nancy's heritage. I was able to find her birth and death certificates. Which listed Charles Littlejohn as her father and Sarah (unknown last name) as her mother. Nancy was born in 1808 and died in 1888. If you find anything in your records of Charles Littlejohn and his wife Sarah, I'd be much appreciative. Thank you very much for your post. Denise Notify Administrator about this message?
