William and Margaret RYAN LOFTON are my gggggrandparents. I have both of them being born abt 1780 in Newberry, SC though, and show their children as Eli, Martha, Mary, Eleanor, and James LOFTON. I would love to know more about Margaret RYAN. According to William LOFTON'S will, at the time of his death, Mary LOFTON was married to ? SMITH.
Perhaps SMITH was her first husband, before she married Z. Fletcher?
