Seeking info on Eliza LOFTON who married Daniel Wagner/Waggoner in Morgan Co IL 26 Feb 1835. Also in Morgan Co a William LOFTON md Mrs. Lovina Loller 15 Apr 1829. There were a number of LOFTONs in the surrounding counties, including Van Lofton. According to the Hunt Co TX marriage records, an Eliza Lofton married my gg grandfather, Jacob HOLT in July 1850 and a Van LOFTON married Barbary Freeman Oct 1850. A Mary LOFTON married Bartley Gallion Aug 1859. Some of my family insist Jacob married Eliza Jane Waggoner in spite of the marriage record and the death record of their son, Wm. M. Dee Holt that listed his mother's maiden name as LOFTON, which leads me to the question - had Eliza Jane married a WAGNER/WAGGONER previously and might it be the one in Morgan Co IL in 1835? I would appreciate any info you might have on these LOFTONs and WAGNER/WAGGONERs.
