My gg grandmother was Ellen Londrigan who married Dennis Purcell. Family lore has them from Tipperary. The earlist record I have for them is the 1870 Federal Census - they are living in New York City. From information on this census it would seem that Ellen and Dennis were married and in New York State by 1860. I have no info on my Londrigans. In fact on none of my records give the name Londrigan, but the name is most commonly given as Lanigan; my grandmother was the one that said that the name was Londrigan.
