Hello Richard,John Wade Loofbourrow's father was Wade Loofbourrow, occupation: cooper; his mother was Sarah? The research I have (done by Marilyn Loofbourrow in Chico, Calif., I think she is deceased) states that Wade was born 1718-1723 also in Perth Amboy, Middlesex, New Jersey. He died before 1775 in Harrison County, Virginia. Wades' parents were: John Loofbourrow II born June 6,1692 in Woodbridge, Middlesex, New Jersey, his will was probated April 12, 1749 in Perth Amboy. His father was John Loofbourrow, mother Hannah Bunn. John II married Abigail Wade abt 1710.Abigail was born in New Haven Connecticut, christened September 22, 1695. Her parents were Rev. Nathaniel Wade Jr.Born July 13,1675 died in 1715 in Woodbridge, New Jersey and Mary Davenport. They were married in May 1694 whereabouts unk. Mary's parents were John Davenport and Abagail Pierson The Rev Nathaniel Wade's parents were: Major Nathaniel Wade born 1648, died 1714 and Mercy Bradstreet born 1646, died Oct 6, 1714, they were married Oct. 31, 1672. Maj. Nathaniel Wade's father was Jonathan Wade an early settler of Ipswich, Massachusetts and Deborah Dudley. Mercy Bradstreet's Parents were Simon Bradstreet (Gov. of Massachusetts) and Anne Dudley, A well known poetess of the Puritan era. (You can find many websites of her poetry, look under Anne Bradstreet.) Deborah and Anne Dudley were the daughters of Thomas Dudley and Dorothy Yorke. Thomas was also an early governor of Mass. They came to America with Simon and Anne Bradstreet aboard the Arbella ( the date escapes me. This family has a very interesting history, as they are descended from English Royalty. You will be able to research this on-line. I hope this is of interest to you, I'm sorry I don't have any info re: Jacob Loofbourrow. I am a descendent of Mary Belle Loofbourrow Truax(she was my grandmother).
