I am looking for information on the grant of land that was given to Refugia and Paula Losoya in what was then Kinney County.Family lore has that they were awarded these lands by the Governor of Texas about 1860.My great-grandmother Francisca Losoya was a niece of Refugia and Paula.She was raised by her aunts on the Losoya Hacienda in DelRio,Texas.Francisca married my great-grandfather Felix Leon Chapoy in the 1870's.
Also,I have been told that these ladies and their brother Jesus are listed as residents of Bexar County in the first census taken in Texas in 1850.
