Thank you so much for the information. I hadn't heard from anyone else.
So I guess we are distant cousins. Was Pearl born in Zachary as well? Do you know the birth dates & places for her parents? Do you know anything about her grandparents or anything more about the famly history? Did she have any siblings or other children besides my father? His name was Richard Flournoy Jr. and was born 18 July 1921 and died 5 Dec 2002.
I had discovered Pearl's name in a family tree my mother had made before she died. I also found a letter from your greatgrandmother to my mother in reply to a letter she sent in the early 1960s when my little brother had a hip problem and my mother was concerned about hereditary joint problems.
In the letter, your great-grandmother mentioned that my dad's father remained unknown.
