John Marvin Low 1834 Missouri - 1934 Wyoming

I am looking for the parents of John Marvin LOW born 3 March 1834 or 1844 depending on what you look at in Oregon, Holt County, Missouri. He died 17 Sep 1934 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. He was buried in Loveland, Colorado

He married Mahala Ann COGDILL(DELL)(DALE) or various other spellings on 27 Oct 1867 in Holt County, Missouri. Their marriage license says Mahala Rosebrook, which was her stepfather's name. They had 11 children, Laura Jane 1869, Albert 1870, Margaret Frances 1873, Joseph Andrew 1874, Frank 1877, Ada 1879, Johnnie 1883, Annie 1886, Kate 1888, Ralph 1890 or 1892 not sure, and Chester "Chet" 1893.

In a history of Laura Jane, she mentions her uncle Jack LOW, her dad's brother and his sister, Bet married to Gid RAINES. I don't know thier full names, but it said that Bet & Gid went to California and had 4 kids.

He served in the Civil War in Battery C., 9th Missouri Light Artillery

I have followed him through the census records as follows:
