Spartanburg, SC - Jonathan, Elias, and J. Mattison Low(e), brothers

I am desperately looking for Low(e) family in Spartanburg, SC. Jonathan Low was my great grandfather, born 1831 in Spartanburg and moved to Sardis, Panola County, MS in 1860. He never mentioned names of ANY family members that anyone can remember ... and he died in 1910.

I began looking for his roots after my mother died in 2002, but cannot find him on the 1850 census or the 1860 census at Spartanburg. There were MANY JOHN or JONATHAN LOW(E)s around Spartanburg between 1790-1860. The search seemed doomed, but a grave in Sardis, Miss. gives the name of a nephew, JAMES M. LOW(E), born 1849 in Spartanburg who came to live with Jonathan's family in Mississippi. This nephew, James M. Low(e) died in 1872. I believe that this JAMES M. LOW(E) whose grave is in Sardis, was the son of ELIAS LOW(E), born about 1821. Later, upon Elias' death, three of his sons by a second wife (Lucy Dye?) went to live with a brother, J. Mattison Low(e). The three sons were SAMUEL (possibly ELIAS SAMUEL) b. 1864, BELTON (b. 1866), AND JONATHAN GEROD LOW(E) b. 1867.

Jonathan Gerod Lowe married Ramoth E. Cannon and his sister, Adella Lowe married Ramoth's brother, Rial Cannon. All of these people are buried at the LIBERTY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY. But because of church records from the First Baptist Church in Spartanburg, I have reason to believe that my great grandfather Jonathan was a "died in the wool" Baptist. His obituary was written by the Baptist pastor in his adopted Mississippi town of Sardis.

CAN ANYONE connect me with living descendants of any of these Low(e)s? I have absolutely no idea where to go to look further for the parents of my great grandfather, Jonathan Low, born 1831 in Spartanburg. So I thought if there was a family researcher in any of the siblings' families, maybe I could hit PAY DIRT. Please help!
