In looking at the census records for DeKalb Co. MO for 1860, I see that there is a Martin L Thomas and his sister Lucinda J Thomas (ages 8&5) living with my Low family.
There was a newspaper clipping regarding a Leonidas Thomas in our family Bible dating back to the late 1800's.
My husband has his DNA results and he matches 35/37 markers with a Thomas. I have found out that Martin L Thomas moved to NE and became a Doctor. Later, I found out his name was Martin LOW Thomas. do you think there is a connection? The Low family migrated from VA - TN/NC - MO.
Carolyn
