Searching for any info on the family of Matthew Clayton Low (my ggrandfather) who live in Peoria Il and was married to Catharine Reiley.
I have a newspaper article that says that he worked as a bale tie operator for the Laidlaw plant, but could not find out what this is.
Rumor in the family said that we were kin to William Mackay Low, who married Daisy Gordon Low, who started the Girl Scouts in NA, but it must be through a cousin, because they did not have any children, and he only had sisters.
They had 9 children,the following that I know of:(not in chronological order)
Dorothy Elizabeth (my grandmother) married Elmer Sheaffer
Clara married Vernon Sheaffer
Matthew Jr.
Bea second marriage was to Charles Labarr
Mary Married Roy Farden
Any help would be greatly appreciated
