OBIT-
YREKA - Funeral services for Frank H. Lowe, 89, native and life long resident
of Hornbrook, were held this morning at 10 a.m. in Girdner's Funeral Chapel. The
Rev. william H. Alljson of the Yreka First Baptist Church officiated and burial followed in the family plot of Henley-Hornbrook Cembetery(sic). Lowe took his own life Friday at his residence.
He was born Jan. 28, 1889 on the Klamath River near Hornbrook and spent all his
life in the Hornbrook area. He was a retired Southern Pacific employee and a member of the Hornbrook Grange.
Survivors include his widow Mary Blanche, whom he married in 1938, two sons
and two daughters, Marion Lowe and Bill Lowe, both of Dunsmuir, Mrs. Vernal
Hegler and Mrs. Gladys Rosenburg, both of Hornbrook; three stepsons, James
Farmer of Portland, Bob Farmer of Hornbrook and Bill Farmer of Redding; two
sisters, Anna Callish (sic) of San Jose, and Kate Laustalot of Arcata, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren
