Hello. I would like to start a family-tree for a friend. He knows very little about his grandparents.
A little research on my part this week shows the maiden name of his grandmother was probably Margarite Frances LOWE, possibly born in Aug. 1903. I think she was born in MA, but her parents might have been born in VT. So, I'm looking for a family in Vermont in the late 1800's who moved to Massachusetts.
Still a teen, Margarite married in 1921 to a Charles C. SMALL, Jr. They had 2 children, but Charles seems to have died a year or two later. She married in 1927 to Robert J. FLANAGAN. They had a child, but it seems Robert died 9 months after they married. The 1930 census shows her a widow with 3 small children.
This was a Somerville, MA, famiy.
