Quinton Lowe's Land Grant. State of Tennessee No. 11642. To all to whom these presents shall come; Greetings: Know ye that by virtue of Entry No. 31 made in the office of the Entry Taker of Putnam County and entered on the 5th day of March 1855 pursuant to the provisions of an act of the General Assembly of said state passed on the 9th day of January 1830, there is granted by the said state of Tennessee unto Quinton Low a certain tract or parcel of land containing twelve acres and 24 poles by survey bearing date May the 17th 1856 situated in said county on the waters of Mine Lick Creek beginning on a dogwood the S.E. corner of a tract of land that said Low bought of John Carr running north 108 poles to a stake in the south boundary line of Joseph Allison's tract west with said line 18 poles to a dogwood in the N. E. corner of Lowe's 100 acre tract southwest said line 108 poles to a chestnut on the south side of the Sparta and Carthage Road on A. D. Allison's line east crossing said road and passing the corner of the old Clark tract 18 poles to the beginning lacking 136 poles of the current? entered and ________??in said bounds with the heridaments and appurturances to have and to hold said tract or parcel of land with its appurturances to the said Quinton Lowe his heirs forever in witness whereof: Andrew Johnson; Governor of the State of Tennessee has hereunto set his hand & caused the great seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the first day of June 1856 and of American Independance the 82nd year.
