Hi! We are neighbors---I live in Oklahoma.
Actually Banta is not a direct line for me....But the Loe/Lowe Line is----I have LOADS of info on them, and most fully documented.
Let me give you a rough outline & maybe you will see something & we can fill in the gaps if you do. I'd love to make a connection
Here goes: (I can actually take you back further-but let's start here):

***NOTES:
1. John Loe's probate indicates he died at Perry Johnson's home.
2. Family Tradition indicates John invested in gold mine industry in Siskiyou County, California after
he moved to California.
3. John's will was contested by some children.
m. 17 Aug 1838 Clark County, Ohio to:
Asenith "Senith" Searle (Searl/Searles)
b. 15 Feb 1822 Near Medway, Montgomery Co., Ohio
d. 23 Jul 1887 Yellow Springs, Greene County, Ohio (Old homestead-Dayton Pike)
Death info: Death-Typhoid fever per obituary. Died at midnight. 65 years, 5 months, 9
days.
Member: St. Paul's M.E. Church
bur. Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs, Greene County, Ohio
*******NOTES: "Senith" Asenath was in California for awhile a photo of her was taken by
photographer in San Francisco. Her burial was delayed for John to return from California.
Obituary states: She was a noble woman, industrious and perserving, patient in tribulation, a faithful wife, affectionate mother, kind neighbor and true friend.

My Dad-Lawrence Wesley Lowe m. Connie Jo (Chapman) the only child of Earl Henry Chapman & Joan Whitson.
Lawrence & Connie had 2 daughter, me-Jodie Earline (Lowe) named after my mother's parent's. and my younger sister Lori Dean (Lowe) named after my father's parent's.
My sister & I are currently married to half brothers:
I am married to Johnny Frank "Bud" Hollifield, Jr.
She is married to Roy Tilman Roberts
Bud & Roy have same mother: Juanita Mae (Read) Roberts.
I have 2 children: Jessica Marie "Cricket" (Jones) thru my ex-Bart Mitchell Jones (of Kellyville, Creek County, OK); and James Wesley "JW" Hollifield s/o Johnny Frank "Bud" Hollifield, Jr.
My daughter is married to Kirk Nicholas Conley s/o Rick & Kim (Pace) Conley. They have one son, my only grandchild at this time: Nicholas Rhyan Conley b. Oklahoma.
My sister has 4 children:
Weston Blaine Roberts Lowe
Benjamin Taylor Roberts
Lauren Paige Roberts
Courtney Nicole Roberts
Roy has 3 children by prev marriage to Mary Lynda (Bowers) who is now m. to Charles "Chuck" Maze. The children are: Ashley Erin Roberts (she has 3 daughters), Desiree Roberts (in college) & Sabel (Roberts) Sisney, m. Derrick Sisney, in Guam (he's in service), they have no children as of yet.

Hi. Saw your posting that mentioned David & Marie Banta. I am also a Banta descendant. But I wanted to know about your Lowe side. Do you know where they were from, etc.?
My Banta relative also married a Lowe (lauw, Low) .
