RODESSA, LA - Graveside services honoring the life of Purgon Wilson Lowe will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Bethsaida Cemetery in Ida, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Treadway of the First Baptist Church, Ida. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday evening, December 21, 2009 at Rose-Neath's Chapel, 705 South Spruce Street, Vivian, Louisiana.
Mr. Lowe was born in Fort Jessup, Louisiana on May 14, 1919 and passed away on December 19, 2009. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 69 years, Estelle Scott Lowe and three daughters: June Head; Jane Desoto and husband Donald; Janice Rhoads and husband Rodger; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Preceding him in death were his mother and father, Harmon and Dora Elizabeth (Nelson) Lowe, two grandsons Duke Barnett and Keith DeSoto, two sisters, and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Adams, Jerry Adams, Ray DeSoto, Greg Barnett, Dr. Matt Barnett, and Will Head. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
