Well, I am, of course, talking about our ancestors. Just because you are in Spain does not mean you could possibly know ancestors that came 600 years ago definitively. Other sources suggest that they were explorers and seafarers. I am referring to those Lozanos who came before you six centuries ago--we're talking 600 years ago.In fact, I think it is likely you cannot know them all. They once did come from Leon, and Burgos area,but scattered to all parts of Spain, from Extramadura to Sevilla. Another relative here, a Lozano, has found that at least some of the family may be Basque. I think the Lozanos were probably all sorts of people--seafarers, farmers, warriors (we know they were valiant warriors). I can direct you to a web site that does include Lozanos in the list of "conversos" of the 13th or 14th centuries. Yes, in fact, parts of the Lozano family may be Jewish.
