Hello every one:
My mother was a Lumby (Amy Elinor Lumby) married to a Ralf Johnston Aldrich. Her father was John
Rawson Lumby, my grandfather, who immigrated to Canada in the late 1800s.
John Rawson Lumby's father, my great grandfather, was Joseph Rawson Lumby, born Leeds, England, who, when he
died, was the the Professor of Divinity at Cambridge
University, Cambridge, England.
I have a number of cousins in England, (first, second , and
third) still living in England.
My mother was still in touch with with them, until she died in 1983, and I have contacted them as late as 1990.
This line of Lumbys can taken back back longer than the 1500s, through a source in England, which, if you are interested, I will give you his e-mail, so that you can contact , and he may have information on your line.
