My family is from Berlin, Germany. Then known as Von Luper. and they were lens makers in the late 19th century. Four Von Luper brothers came to Norfolk, VA around 1900. Charles, my great Grandfather stayed in the VA and NC . I have been told one settled near New Orleans and we are not sure where the other two headed.
