Elisha Henry Maberry, was born Aug. 20, 1839 in Sumner county, Tn.,
died March 4, 1910 at his home in Wrights after an illness of two
weeks duration. He had been poorly for over a year. Sept. 15, 1861,
he and Sarah E. Davidson, who survives were married. To this union
were born eleven children, all living except Malissa and Cina who
did in Infancy. They are Edward, Everett, Marshall, Clarence,
Ernest, and Aries wife of Moss Stinnett, all of Wrights, and Mrs.
Harley Anthony of White Hall. Ora E. of Paragould, Ark,. and Mrs.
Orva Smith of Elmira, Ark. He is also survived by 12 grand
children.

Uncle "Lish" as he was commonly called, had lived in Wrights
vicinity since he was four years of age. He professed a hope in
Christ 35 years ago, at the Old Grove church under the preaching of
Eld. Culp, and was a member of the White Hall Baptist church wen
summoned from this vale of tears.

He served his country as a soldier during the Civil War and in many
ways added to the fame that all the boys in blue so justly
deserve.

He was a man of strong character always ready to help the oppressed
and cheer the down hearted. His home was a home of hospitality and
good cheer. He was conscious to the last and a short time before he
died, called his wife and children to the bedside, shook hands with
them and told them he was ready and willing to go to that home
prepared for him. His last words were "Come on boys, I'm going
home.

Funeral services were conducted at Wrights Baptist church on the 6th
at eleven o'clock a.m. by the pastor, Will R. Johnson.
