My GGGgrandparents were James McARTHUR and Margaret BEVERIDGE who married 23 Dec 1785.
Their children: Margaret b Oct 1786 (correction of yr), John b Oct 1788, Janet b July 1790, Barbara b Jan 1793, James b b Dec 1794, William b Jan 1797, Elizabeth b Feb 1799, John b April 1801, ANDREW (my GGgf) b Feb 1803,
Peter b Dec 1804. All Dunfermline except Janet whose baptism was at Pittencrief. James was a weaver/manufacturer.
I am pleading for any additional information on any of these people. I have no idea who any of the siblings married
or where they lived, but I just can't believe that Andrew
was the only one to marry and have a family.
Were any of the older boys perhaps weavers with their dad?
Andrew (b 9 Feb 1803) married Agnes SPENCE, dau of John Spence and Agnes Strang on 19 Dec 1834 in Alva. Both of these people died in Mobile, AL USA without leaving any information about their parents, grandparents or siblings.
Could Margaret, Janet, Barbara, James, William, Elizabeth, John, or Peter be in your family tree? Are you missing an
Andrew from their family?
