McAuley family in Padiham
Posted by: ursula glover (ID *****4181) Date: July 02, 2007 at 12:59:30

My McAuleys came from Antrim, from the Waterfoot, Cushendall and Red Bay area. One of my relatives remembers that some of the family lived in Padiham, the rest settled in Woolton, Liverpool. The following are the details of the family in Ireland:

Alexander McAuley was born c1798. His son Patrick was born in 1850 in Waterfoot.

Patrick married Ann Harvey, born c1852. Her father was Arthur. Alexander was a butcher and Patrick was a mariner. Patrick moved to Liverpool and Alexander followed later in his life.

Anyone have any information to share ?

Regards - Ursula Glover (nee McAuley)
