I'm new to this so bear with me please.
My dad was Angus Dryden Mackay, born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on September 29, 1923. He always spoke of the Orkneys as though they were his home though. He died about 20 years ago in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. As I recall he was the last Canadian sailor to have the honour to be buried at sea. He had (or has I can't tell for sure) a brother named David who authored "A Flock of Words" in London, England. My mum's name was Phyllis Jane Gumbrell from Shoreham by Sea in Sussex. We think his mother's name was Mary but don't have much more information than that.
