I forgot to mention that Catherine Stuart MacKay & Frederick Maitland Blythe ended up in Riley, KS & had the following children:
Anna (Nan) - my grandma
Margaret Tay
Marjory
David
Elisabeth
Fred
Abilene
Katie Hope
Mary
Hazel
Some of the children were born in Scotland, some in England, some in Pottawatomie, KS & some in Riley, KS where they finally ended up homesteading!
My GGFather Blythe was an engineer on a ship & they lived in Brazil for a time before emigrating to America. He also worked for 2 railroads. Ha! Now I see why I don't like to let the grass grow under my feet. 8-))
