I am related to a John Henry Mackey, as it is spelled today. The orginal spelling is Macke. He was married to Anna Maria Angelica Munte (Mary Minter) in Bartholomew County, Indiana. He died on 11 Aug 1874 in Seymour, Indiana. I just resently found papers at the Courthouse in Brownstown that gave information on his wife and the children that he had. This also gave the orginal full names of each child.
I just resently found where he filed "Intention Form" for Nationlization in Columbus, Indiana along with possibly his father and two brothers. The papers are now located st the Indiana Archives located in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am going to go there this week to copy the information. If anyone is interested please let me know by sending e-mail address to macke152001@verizon.net
Just to mention a few of surnames in the family line are: ABELL, TASKEY, OLINGER, KLOSTERMAN, KUHLMAN, MELLENCAMP, MELLENKAMP, MELLONCAMP, CLAYCAMP, BUTLER, FINDLEY, PREWITT, OATHOUT, AND MANY OTHERS.
