The Magann family of Amherst County is not my direct line of interest, but I have a wealth of family photographs from this family. Specifically, Pleasant Gaines Magann, born 1841 and died at Roanoke, VA 21 October 1918 and his wife Martha Catherine Andrews b 1846 died 15 Ocober 1906 and their children: Anna Laura Magann, Douglas Pleasant Magann, Walter Magann, Thomas Oscar Magann, and George Walter Magann. Anna Laura Magann would marry Charles P. Hogan and act as a surrogate parent to my greatgrandmother. Douglas Pleasant Magann married Minnie B. and had Alice, Douglas, and Bobbie. Walter married Minnie and had Hortense Irene Magann, b. 2 March 1913 and Laura Mae Magann b. Sep 1910 (he would die and Minnie would remarry, her second husband being William Sweet), Thomas Oscar Magann married Lalle Huddleston and had Mary Lee Magann and Mary Pete (?) Magann, George Walter Magann was born 15 August 1872.
