According to the information I have, Elizabeth Fossett was the second of three wives of Pierre Francois Xavier Manigold, 1820-1870. They had a son, John Francis Peter Manigold 1855-1935 who married Anna Pearl Plumb in 1893 in Kansas. They had a son Oral Burtie Valentine Manigold 1907-1977 who married unknown and had a son Burt V. Manigold. Elizabeth Fossett Manigold lived with her son John and died in 1920 in Geary, Oklahoma. John Manigold died and is probably buried in Colorado Springs. Oral B. V. Manigold died in Michigan City, Indiana and is buried unknown. Burt V. Manigold died in 1931 in Colorado Springs and is probably buried there. It is likely that some descendants of this line still live in Colorado although I am not aware of anyone in particular. It is probable that the person you know as Burt V. Manigold and who wrote about William Fossett was Oral B. V.. William Fossett would probably have been his great uncle, a brother to his grandmother, Elizabeth Fossett. I am not familiar with the Fossett family except that Elizabeth was supposed to have been born in Scotland in 1831 and married in Champion, New York in 1849. Hope this helps you in your quest.
