I am trying to solve a little family mystery... my mamaw's aunt was supposedly murdered by her husband Jan 10, 1928 in Arkansas. Her name Alla (Allie) Atchley and the husband was James Manning. I don't know any details as to why the family thinks she was murdered by the husband.
I would love to track down newspaper articles, obits, actual death record (I found the Arkansas death index), etc anything that gives me a clearer vision of what happened.
I'm also looking for information on the husband. It is believed someone in my family stabbed him after finding out about Alla's death. BUT we don't know if he lived or died.

Alla Atchley born 14 Feb 1901 Taylor Co, KY moved to Arkansas with parents prior to 1918, she married James Manning 28 Dec 1918
They are listed as living in Promised Land, Ark in the 1920 census.
At the time of her death her parents Robert and Mattie Florence (Stapleton) Atchley were living in Walnut Ridge, Ark
I was told she was killed in Poplarbluff, Ark but I can't find one but I did find one in Missouri.
Any help would be great!!
