I found a blurb about a Father Malachy Mannion.
In the eighteenth century Lydecan(as it was then spelt) was a parish of its own under parish priest Fr. Tadhg Murphy until about 1805 when it was united with the parish of Claregalway under Fr. Malachy Mannion.

I am interested in finding more about a non-Father Malachy Mannion, born in Irvilloughter @1839, came to US via Canada with parents Pat & Peggy and siblings John, Pat, Thomas, Mary in 1849. Know some about Pat, Thomas, but nothing of Malachy.
