i now have more info regarding the last message. My great grandfather was called michael mannion he lived in tuam, galway and married margaret mccoy, they moved to motherwell in scotland where my grandfather, bernard mannion, was born. they returned to tuam shortly afterwards and my grandfather was brought up there before returning to scotland. my great grandfather, michael, eventually lived in glasgow due to reasons i do not wish to post here. michael had two brothers, thomas and stephen. i also think there is a connection with mccoys who lived in snider avenue new york.
