I am looking for information on the mother of Phebe Elizabeth Marble born abt 1829 in Rhode Island. Phebe Elizabeth was the daughter of Francis Marion Marble, a blacksmith, who was born in Dighton, MA in 1803 but eventually moved to Providence and then Warren Rhode Island.
According to my great grandmother, Phebe's mother was Phebe Elizabeth Smith, daughter of John Smith and a Native American woman, although I can find no record of any of these individuals. John Smith is too common of a name to be helpful without some more information.
Siblings of Phebe Elizabeth were William T, Maria L, Sarah, and Margaret.
