A note from my great grandmother Anne says her mother, Mary Markey, was born in Kingscourt, Co. Meath, about 1799--so I am very interested in yor Markeys. Kingscourt border on Cavan and Meath and the parish overlaps. Mary married George Smith from Yorkshire, England, in Toronto, Canada in 1835 and they settled in Eramosa, Ontario, near Guelph.
