Lucinda Eveline McArdle, daughter of Bernard "Barney" McArdle and Darkins Darcus Smith married John Calvin Brannon, Sr., the brother to my gggrandfather. My gggrandfather is Andrew Jackson "Jack" Brannon. They lived in the Henry/Houston/Dale Co Alabama area. My notes on Eveline is that her father was born in Ireland and perhaps this is why she has been described as "red headed and high tempered". Eveline had four brothers who lived in the Kinsey, Alabama area. John Calvin and Eveline had a large family. I will be glad to share information that I have and can give you contacts (grandchildren) of John Calvin and Eveline that are working with me on the Brannon family.
