Allan K. McCauley of Libertyville Visitation for Allan K. McCauley, 71, will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at 12 noon Saturday, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Ltd., 101 Park Place (Route 176, one block east of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. Interment will military honors will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Born Nov. 22, 1935, in Evanston, he died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at home surrounded by his family. Allan had been a 35-year resident of Libertyville. He served in the Army and had retired from the Motorola Corporation. He was an avid fisherman and shared his free time fishing and with his faithful dog, Kodi. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Ann (James, CWO II, retired) Metza of Wisconsin and Alisa Marie (Daniel) Gilbert of Lake Bluff; grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Jamie and Jack Metza, and Christine and Eric Gilbert; and brother, Donald (Marcy) McCauley of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 1998.
