Seeking John Edward Smith, Jemima Clark and Elizabeth McCauley. Families are believed to come from Rush Co., Indiana and Marion Co., Indiana. Children known are William and Theodore V. Smith from Jemima. Children from Elizabeth are believed to be: Martha, Jemima A., J. W., and Mary.
John born about 1813 Va. Did Jemima die??
John Edward Smith and Elizabeth show up in the 1860 and 1870 Census Madison twp., Polk Co., Iowa.
Have not got to much on any of these families other than from 2 Census.
John and T. V. Smith were in the Civil War. John is suppose to be buried in Vandalia Cemetery, Jasper Co., Iowa but I have no date.
Does any one know more about these families???
