I am looking for any information on the McCombs family of Mecklenburg County, NC, around 1900. My great-great grandmother was Jane Elizabeth McCombs (1-11-1840 to 10-12-1909) who married Marcus Andrew Wilson (2-8-1832 to 1-9-1883). They had at least 6 children, including my great-grandfather, John Andrew Wilson. Jane had a brother named Adam Harrison McComb (10-4-1843 to 10-5-1907). Jane and Adam are buried at Steele Creek Presybterian Cemetery. As far as I know, they are the only McCombs in that cemetery, although the family seems to have been in North Carolina for awhile. Census records indicate that their McCombs parents were born in North Carolina.
